"Green Light on the Southern" documents the life and music of Chattanooga native Norman Blake, who has been described as the premiere roots musician of our generation. Follow Blake from the early days up to his trip to Carnegie Hall for the "O Brother Where Art Thou" concert. In addition to extensive interviews and some live "pickin" music with Blake, hear from some of the most influential and talented musicians in North America, including Sam Bush, John Hartford, Michelle Shocked, Fletcher Bright and many more. This program documents a true American icon and paints a portrait of a man whose life, like his music, has been and continues to be made on his own terms.
Tickets are $5 for AEC members and $10 for general admission. Buy tickets at the door, or to purchase in advance call 423-267-1218 or visit our website.
